For example, the New York Department of Corrections and Community Supervision maintains a free search platform for currently incarcerated persons in state prisons. The platform may reveal arrest-related details, such as the arrestee’s name, criminal charges, booking number, and bond amount. To view arrest records on the platform, record seekers must enter the inmate’s name, state ID number, or department ID number.

Record seekers may also view arrest records via online search tools provided by the New York Unified Court System. To view arrest information, record seekers must enter relevant search details on the appropriate search tool.

Note: Free online search tools may not include older arrest records and confidential information. For example, crime scene evidence is not accessible on free search websites. Record seekers can only obtain such information by submitting a request to the arresting agency or the county court that handled the case.
